Placement Testing Schedule

Stevenson will offer the ACCUPLACER (for English and/or math placement) for incoming fall 2013 freshman and transfer students on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday at 11 from Saturday, May 4th, through Saturday, June 8th.  Seating is limited, so you must use our online registration form to register for a test date. If you need special accommodations or are unable to test during these dates, please contact Dr. Terri Wright, Director of Developmental Studies, at 443-334-2653 or twright2@stevenson.edu.

 

 

Saturday testing begins Saturday, May 4th at 11:00 a.m.  Weekday testing begins Tuesday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m.  All testing takes place on the Owings Mills campus.  A schedule of dates and times follows:

Test Day Instructions

  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled test time.

  • Bring a photo ID.

  • Please know your 7-digit SU ID# to login to the test. This ID is located on the lower-left hand corner of your Placement Information Report and your acceptance letter.

  • For weekday tests, meet in the Admissions Lobby (located on the 2nd floor of Garrison Hall).

Academic Advising at Placement Testing

  • Parents, while your student is testing, staff from Stevenson’s Office of Academic Support Services will offer a session to help you understand how English and math placement will affect your student’s first-year schedule.
  • Following testing students and parents will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a staff member from Academic Support Services to review their test results and understand how these scores impact their fall course schedule.

Information about the ACCUPLACER

  • ACCUPLACER is un-timed, and you may leave the testing room to take a break as necessary. Most students taking both English and math finish in about 2 hours.
  • NO calculators are permitted on the math test. The test provides an on-screen calculator when needed.
