Lambda Epsilon Chi

National Honor Society for Paralegal/Legal Assistant Studies

The primary purpose of the honor society is to recognize persons who have demonstrated superior academic performance in an established program of paralegal/legal assistant studies offered at an institution that is a member in good standing of the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE).

Students who have completed 2/3 or more of the program requirements with a required minimum cumulative GPA as determined from year to year by the program director, in Paralegal or Nurse-Paralegal Studies, are invited to apply for membership.  In addition to evaluating academic achievement, the student's commitment to excellence in the provision of law services is evaluated.

To qualify for admission to Lambda Epsilon Chil, students must:

  • Have the required minimum cumulative GPA (AAfPE requires at lest a 3.5 and our program may require higher)
  • Have completed 2/3 or more of program requirements
  • Exhibit leadership qualities, good character, and a genuine commitment to law
  • Submit a personal statement
  • Be recommended for membership by two faculty members
  • Submit a completed application.

Letters of eligibility are sent to qualifying students during the spring semester. For more information, please contact Hillary Michaud, program director at hmichaud@stevenson.edu.
