Student Achievement and Program Effectiveness

Comprehensive tables of enrollment trends and graduate data, along with measures of student achievement and demographic data, provide a profile of students in the Human Services program.

The information collected below provides an indication of how the Human Services program is assessed and the evidence for its effectiveness. By making this information public, the Human Services Department is following the best practices of The Council for Standards in Human Services Education (CSHSE).

The department’s program evaluation plan provides detailed information about the many ways in which we collect information about the success of our students and solicit feedback from our students, faculty, field placement sites, and community partners about all aspects of our program. This information is used to further strengthen our program.

The Human Services program goals and objectives spell out the specific skills that students develop as part of the program.

The annual program evaluation report summarizes the data collected during the previous year and recommendations for program modifications. These findings are discussed in Advisory Board and Department Faculty meetings.
